How long does a kidney stone procedure take?
Most RIRS or URSL procedures take 30–60 minutes. Mini-PCNL for large stones may take 60–90 minutes.
Why was a DJ stent placed after my surgery?
A DJ stent keeps the ureter open while it heals and helps any residual fragments pass safely. It is removed in OPD after 1–2 weeks.
How do I prevent kidney stones from coming back?
Drink 3 litres of water daily, reduce salt, moderate oxalate-rich foods, and follow the metabolic plan we give you. We also analyse the stone to tailor your prevention.
